ZACH DAY
Growing up in one of the top 10 poorest counties in America, in the backwoods of Kentucky, Zach Day would regularly skip school to teach himself how to play guitar and sing by examining the subtle nuances of legendary vocalists and songwriters. With nothing but the most discerning taste, Zach would devour songs of all genres and adopted his own style of original works. As a deep love of folk emerged, Zach perfected the art of lyrical storytelling through his beautiful soul-bearing voice.
Zach Day’s impossibly technical vocals have proven undeniable as the likes of John Legend, Meghan Trainor, Bon Iver, Brandi Carlile, YEBBA. and so many other brilliant artists and writers have actively followed his musical journey on social platforms. Icons Carole King, Ester Dean, Muni Long, and Doechii have insisted the public at large must bear witness to Zach Day’s musical mastery by reposting his incredible covers to their socials.
BASIT
Basit is a non-binary Black, Nigerian-American performance artist, singer/songwriter and actor. They are also a co-founder of Legacy, a production company focused on providing resources to artists systematically excluded from—and exploited by—media and the arts. Their creative practices are rooted in cultivating radical empathy, embracing vulnerability and unique expression, and finding power and strength in existence.
Andrea Turk
At 23 years old, Andrea Turk is paving her way into the NYC Alt Pop scene— her background in Classical Voice coupled with her story-telling lyrics and HyperPop-infused production charms her listeners into a never-ending escapade of genre-bending tunes. The opener for 2017 Chainsmokers LIVE in Jakarta has since accumulated a total of 2.5 million streams across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Soundcloud.
TORNSEY
Celebration, freedom and radical honesty; Tornsey shares their experiences of both deep loss and empowering self discovery.
Born in LA, now living in Nashville, they explore reflective, deeply personal songwriting to share her process of leaving a constrictive religion and accepting her sexuality – a story that’s brought them into community, acceptance, and beautiful relationships.
Their debut EP “Find The Sun”, released fall 2023, was written and recorded shortly after the artist came out as queer and defined a new life path for herself. The four song project validates listeners with similar experiences through heart wrenching lyricism, emotive choir-like vocal moments, and warm guitars.
FUNERAL DOORS
Defined by cheeky lyrics, irreverent temperaments and an uncompromising sound, New Jersey’s Funeral Doors have made waves in the tri-state area since their formation in late 2021.
Composed of guitarist/frontwoman Juni Purrrr (she/her), bassist Brooke St. Bones (she/her), and drummer Kidd Nickels (he/they), Funeral Doors delivers an explosive live show teeming with genuine emotion and
love for the queer community. Funeral Doors captured this energy in 2022 with their debut EP blue candy & green flowers, with its lead single “I’m a Melodrama Mama Baby” quickly catching the
attention of New Jersey’s musical hotbed.
Between fervent gigging, writing, and recording going into 2023, the band released a split EP featuring the tracks “Stitch” and “Fireproof Pants” in time for one of their highest-profile shows to date: opening for Keep Flying at Asbury Park’s House of Independents.
Funeral Doors’ sound is heavily inspired by midwest emo, pop sensibilities and hardcore trappings. Purrr’s lyricism can only be described as an unfettered, unfiltered look into the trans experience that grabs hold of the listener’s attention and refuses to let go.
The band is currently preparing to release their sophomore EP in 2024
